| Abstract | Glioma-initiating cells/glioma stem cells (GIC/GSCs) are grown in vitro using a cumbersome and inefficient spheroid assay. In this issue of Cell Stem Cell, Pollard and coworkers present a protocol for the efficient derivation of GIC/GSC lines that may greatly improve the isolation and the potential clinical application of these cells. |
